Eagle Project
Updates
Our two most
recent Eagle projects are those of Jameson Siudut and Richard
Lange. Jameson completed this
project this fall; he directed the building of 8 picnic tables, a fire
ring (with a gravel and firebrick base), and a basketball hoop for the use
of the parishioners of St. Helena’s. This spring, Richard oversaw the
renovation of St. Helena’s
undercroft; the walls were repainted, the old vinyl baseboards were
ripped out and replaced with oak baseboard and base shoe that were
stained and polyurethaned, and the floor tile was removed and replaced.
Jameson has
passed his Eagle Board of Review – watch here for the announcement
of the date of his Eagle Court of Honor.
Richard still has some requirements to take care of, but we expect
he’ll be finishing up soon!

Breakfast
with Troop 69
On July 4 2007, Troop 69 will hold its
10th annual "Pancake Breakfast" at the Pleasantdale Park District's main building in Walker Park. We thank everyone for the support the community
has shown Troop 69 at our previous Pancake Breakfasts. It has made a big difference to the
Scouts in our Troop, helping us to buy tents, cooking gear and safety
equipment for our climbing trips. We
hope to see you at the Park District this year! For more information about Troop 69's
Pancake Breakfast in 2007, please visit http://www.troop69.org/pancake.html

July 2004
This month Mike Fierke completed his
eagle project. He organized a project to paint a gazebo at Lake Carrige Way
Park in Burr Ridge,
and completed landscaping around the parks flagpole.
June 2004
This month Daniel Fox achieved the
highest rank in scouting - Eagle Scout. An Eagle Scout ceremony was held
June 5, 2004 so look for some pictures here soon!

Caving in Iowa
One of Troop 69's favorite activities

learned something, while having fun in the cave mud! You can enter the camping gallery
